I agree, and the Onyx at least has some prestige.

Only difference between Onyx and Oil, Oil has a black and small blue tint to it, the animation is on top and slides to the bottom of the gun, onyx is Black with a little bit of blue.

They're so similar that you could probably pass them of as the Onyx skins. LOL

Ya, First 2 i got was Onyx Gnasher and Onyx Lancer, next is SO shotgun, Retro, then Hammerburst. then i get 2 more onyx medals after the Hammer, because of the Master-at-arms and Rifle Master Medals, 6,000 kills is alot to get tho lol

Will try, but after getting 23,000 something kills for 2.0 on gears 2, i guess getting as many onyx medals as i can would help me lvl offline, no gold atm lol but dunno a quick way to get lvls offline

was that with gold? or will it work the same without gold? i got a wi fi xbox so ill be online, but if i do this, im 82, i know it wont be as fast, but should work the same?

You can do it on or offline. It's basically just finishing the level over and over again. You'll pick up a few Onyx medals as well.
